Skyrim Trailer: Elder Scrolls V

Click above on the title of this post for the Trailer...

Everyone here at work has been hammering out this epic dragon slaying , rampantly smitey, monster filled, strange architecture encrusted bit of real estate for quite some time now. My part?
Drink lots of coffee, turn up the music and draw enough to fill volumes... that are hopefully inspirational enough for everyone to work on for a couple of years. Well, here's the results of everyone's blood, sweat, tears, and collaboration.
Enjoy.

And yes, we do get into arguments about elves.

I've been waiting a long time for them to finally put up a real (non-promo) trailer. That one was amazing, the atmosphere of it was really thick, just blew me away.

I noticed many locales that you and Ray had illustrated in past concept art that's been released. The final product of those concept pieces were staggeringly impressive. Also, you should probably update this more, hahaha.

You were the main reason why I loved Fallout 3 so much, and now I'm going to play Skyrim in your homage. Rest in peace, your inspiration will live on forever.

Thank you Adam for bringing me back into gaming, for showing me that there was still hope in the bleak, garbage filled future where nothing seemed as interesting as all the cool stuff from the past.

Fallout 3 and Skyrim are huge monuments to open environments, to imagination. I can't tell you how much playing both games make a huge impact on me - or how many times I just forgot about the goals and loved, absolutely loved tooling around such beautiful worlds.

Your skill are desperately missed. Here's hoping they can carry your magic into the next Fallout.

You inspired me to take a leap of faith and follow my dream. May whatever deity that guides our lives bless you for managing to use the short time you had, to make the time everyone else had so much more wondrous then we could make it on our own.

Rest in peace buddy. Your work was simply awe inspiring. Best times I have had in gaming (and maybe life in general?) have been playing Fallout 3 and Skyrim for hours and hours...

Thank you SO much!

I just wanted to say that I'll miss your work. Even with laser weaponry and dragons, etc, it was given that aspect of realism that could only come through love and dedication for what you do. This was what got me so absorbed in the games. Your work, Adam, made them the monuments that they are today. Thank you for your contributions. You will be missed

Adam, Your artwork was and is a huge inspiration for me. The moment I looked at the concept art book for Fallout 3 and played the game I knew only a genius could have created the beauty in that game. I'm going to an art college and wish to become a concept artist like yourself. Im not lying when I say that your my favorite artist. I searched every where to find your old website but it seems to have disappeared some months back, still your work will never be forgotten and the worlds you have created will continue to inspire creativity in artist's and live on through their work, I know it has influenced myself.

I was lucky enough to work briefly with Adam when I was doing my internship at a little game company in Boulder, I was always amazed by what a brilliant artist he was, effortlessly drawing stuff I could barely imagine, but more so by what a great, easygoing and funny guy he was.
The world is truly less bright and less beautiful without him in it.
Rest in Peace Adam. We're ALL going to miss you.

Rest in peace Adam, you've been my main inspiration for drawing over 2 years now. I developped my techniques with what I saw here, your incredible sketchbook that had me wonder and pushed to analyse for hours. I was always shocked that this blog wasn't commented more when I saw your incredible stuff. I'm sad I never send you a message thanking you for all that you've inspired me to do from your work. Because, although I'm still at art school, I can proudly say you were my master in arts.

Dudous, it was a real honor to know you and look through your prolific sketchbooks those many nights long ago. I greatly admire your work-- your incredible imagination, humor, and intellect. I'm very sad of your passing and hope that your worlds and creatures will be shared and enjoyed for many years to come.

Adam, you were a true original. You made great art that inspired me deeply as an a artist. Fallout 3 was one of my favorite games ever, and I would tell my girlfriend I needed to play it for "inspiration". It wasn't too far from the truth because great art, design, and gameplay truly came together in Fallout 3. Thank you for sharing with us your incredible talent, inspiration, hard work, and may you rest in peace.

Just found out about this tragic loss today. Having been a fan of Bethesda since the release of Oblivion, I am truly saddened by this. I'm 17, and also interested in the fields of graphic design and drawing, to name a few. (Used to draw more, looking back I want to start up again. After seeing your Fallout 3 concept art, the urge to just pick up a pen and put it to paper is stronger than ever.) I was a huge fan of Fallout 3. Got it for Christmas on the Xbox 360, played it over and over until my Xbox crapped out. A year later I re-experienced it on a newly built gaming computer, and played it through and through yet again. The experience of that game will remain one of my all time favorites. I'll never forget that first step out of the Vault and discovering Megaton. Not to mention the iconic aircraft carrier ruins. (Rivet City it was, had to do a search for it on Fallout Wiki, but I remember every inch of it and how epic it was, including its submerged quarters.) Then there's the Citadel, Tenpenny Tower, and Raven Rock. All memorable locations in one of the most engrossing games ever created. I have a passion for anything retro. Music from the 60's and 70's, movies from the 60's involving war stories and scenarios, cars from the WWII era Willy Jeep to the '57 Bel Air. It was just everything I found interesting put together in one game. The music, the merged 40's postwar-futuristic world, and the retro inspired feel. I take direct inspiration from you and your work. It shows in a short film my closest friends and I are making. It started off without me involving a Cold War setting. When I began taking part in the project I began with the feeling of Fallout and it turned into more of a retro, what-if war scenario taking place on home turf. It is still in the making, and we're all taking inspiration from you. Gaming is still a relatively new industry, and in my future, I look forward- to being able to look back- at these incredible games you were involved in making. Looking back at a game I played, say twenty years ago, will be interesting to say the least. No matter how advanced graphics get, creativity immersion will always be a key factor. Oblivion, Fallout 3, and Skyrim will surely be recognized in the distant future as some of the best games of the turn of the century.

Time to reinstall Fallout 3 and give it one more play through in your honor.

Thank you, and Rest in Peace.
